We are prioritising self hosted solutions to have better control of the data. We're also building our own infrastructure for the video processing part. When data must be unencrypted for technical reason (for instance for video encoding), it's always transiting on our own infrastructure. Otherwise data are encrypted. By steering clear of big providers, we ensure a greater freedom and we remain available even when others go down. Our dedicated team is committed to our mission of delivering secure, flexible solutions that prioritize your business.
Short answer: yes, we are. Long answer: We are based in France and as a European business, GDPR, data privacy and protection is very important to us. We're really not fond of "Cloud Act", "Privacy Shield", "Trans-Atlantic Data Privacy Framework" and so on... That's why we're steering clear of big providers. We don't even have Google Analytics on this website (we have a self hosted plausible instance instead), that's why you don't get to see an awesome popup about cookies. Feels weird right?
